Beings slowly transformed through emotional residues, shifting relationships, and the accumulation of time.

KAMBA’s works use fish and human forms as motifs, not merely as creatures or characters, but as beings shaped and altered by emotion, memory, and the pressures of civilization.

Fantastic & Weird.

A state that feels both fantastical and strangely unstable.
Different elements coexisting within a delicate and fragile balance.

Unstable but harmonized.

Perhaps this reflects not only human emotions, but society itself.

Born into a family of traditional fishermen, KAMBA grew up surrounded by the presence of fish living within impermanence.
For me, fish are not simply motifs, but mirrors reflecting life, circulation, swarms, emotions, and human society itself.

Fish, people, symbols, ornaments, fashion, fragmented memories.
These are not isolated motifs, but forms of “Interbeing” — entities that breathe while influencing and transforming one another.

Modern society layers information, roles, competition, and emotion in increasingly complex ways, often placing invisible tension upon the human mind.

KAMBA’s works do not attempt to deny this tension.
Instead, they seek to create spaces where different and contradictory elements may coexist.

Slightly unstable.
Slightly strange.
Yet somehow still in harmony.

Fantastic & Weird is a landscape in continuous transformation, where emotions, memories, and relationships intermingle.
And perhaps, it is also a reflection of the human ability to quietly accept those beings as they are.


日々生まれては消えていく線と色。
感情の残響、関係性の揺れ、そして時間の堆積によって少しずつ形を変えていく存在たち。

KAMBAの作品は、人や魚をモチーフにしながら、単なる生物やキャラクターではなく、感情や記憶、文明の圧力によって変形した “beings” を描いています。

Fantastic & Weird。

ファンタスティックでありながら、どこか奇妙で不安定。
異質なもの同士が、ギリギリの均衡で共存している状態。

Unstable but harmonized.

それは、人間の内面や社会そのものの姿でもあります。

KAMBAは漁師の網元に生まれ、その無常の中で生きる魚たちの気配を、幼い頃から身体で覚えてきました。
魚は単なるモチーフではなく、生命、循環、群れ、感情、そして人間社会を映し出す鏡として作品の中に現れます。

魚、人、記号、装飾、ファッション、断片化された記憶。

それらは分離されたモチーフではなく、互いに影響し合いながら呼吸する “Interbeing” として存在しています。

現代社会は、情報、役割、競争、感情が複雑に重なり合い、時に人の心を強く緊張させます。
KAMBAの作品は、その緊張を否定するのではなく、異質なもの同士が共存できる “余白” をつくろうとしています。

少し不安定で、少し奇妙。
それでもどこか調和している世界。

Fantastic & Weird は、
感情、記憶、関係性が混ざり合いながら、
存在たちが変化し続ける姿。
そして、その存在を素直に受け入れる人の心を映しています。
